Pistol the Poler

"I started pole in 2019 after spending years trying just about every hobby under the sun, except any form of dancing. I wanted to try dance, but struggled to find adult beginner classes. After a couple of Google searches, I somehow ended up in a pole studio of all places. Looking back it feels like less of a choice, and more like fate with a little sense of humor.

Before my first class, I was terrified, and after my first class... I was completely and utterly hooked.

I fell in love with the community, the creativity, and the challenge of learning something so completely different. As someone who got into fitness from a young age, pole gave me a whole new way to challenge my body, and express myself in a way nothing else had before.

What started as a challenge eventually became a passion, a creative outlet, and a second job. Somewhere along the way, I learned the real magic isn't being naturally good at anything, it's just about becoming someone who keeps showing up long enough to surprise themselves. As an instructor I get so much joy from watching my students do things they once thought were completely out of reach.

That's the energy I try to bring into my classes.

Expect strength training, choreography, dynamic skills, plenty of laughs, and probably a few moments where you question why you voluntarily signed up for this.

But most importantly, expect to surprise yourself.

You don't have to be a dancer to dance. You don't have to be strong to get strong. And you definitely don't have to be fearless to try something scary. Maybe just stubborn enough to try again."
